In 2011, Neuch?tel will celebrate the first millenium of its existence. During these ten centuries, the city from which the canton of Neuch?tel draws its name, will have passed from the row of a small borough, blotti with the foot of a ""new castle"", with that of capital of the one of the vingt-trois States of the Swiss Confederation.
