'Francesco's Record 440+ MPH'Francesco Agelo piloting the Macchi Castoldi MC-72 Seaplane Racer headed for Descenzano, Italy flying over Sirmone. The MC-72's were built for the Schnieder Cup Trophy Races in 1931 but were not ready due to engine carbueraation problems. In 1934 Francesco set the record for these races that have never been broken to this daay. he MC-72's were equipped with Fiat V12 aero engines in tandem, driving contra rotating propellors, theree by negating the torque problem.
