Fletcher Henderson and his Orchestra performing at the Old Orchard Pier.The Old Orchard Pier saw the 1920's and 30's as the Big Band era. All the famous dance bands performed at the pier casino with the likes of, Guy Lombardo, Rudy Valle, Duke Ellington, Bobby Byrne, Tommy Dorsey and more each summer, and thousands danced over the waves under the revolving crystal ball.
