Bright Salmson automobile against a black background.Salmson was originally a manufacturer of water-cooled radial airplane engines - and the poster boasts that the car has the precision of these airplane motors. Their first automobiles appeared in 1921, and graduated from flimsy cyclecars to sports cars to elegant luxury sedans. In 1957, the firm was bought out by Renault. In this poster there is an effective use of strong, flat colors with black and yellow automobile with orange and green headlights on black background, the Salmson insignia flashed above.
