1939 Zurich Grand Prix Poster
Motorcyclist and race car driver rush headlong on the track. This brilliant poster was evidently the best design ever created by an otherwise obscure native of Basel. In October of 1939, World War II had already been waged in Europe for more than a month and many sports meets were canceled, but the Swiss, jealously guarding their neutrality, held the event as scheduled.
