Trains

Based on an oil painting owned by Northern Pacific Railway, this poster shows a train speeding through the Bozeman Pass in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. The artist was a native of Austria who settled in Minneapolis, where he produced a number of paintings and portraits; he also did some murals for the University of Minnesota. He worked as teacher at the Minneapolis School of Art from 1931 to 1947.
