Down the stretch they come!Hugentobler didn't find his true calling until 1924, when he worked for a time at an animal hospital in Zurich, and afterwards started working for a horse registry in Thun. He liked horses and started painting them; he also produced calendars for race tracks and designs for military calvary, as well as more than 50 posters for a number of events involving horses. This particular design was first used for the same race in 1934, and here it is given a well deserved reprise.
