Two ships passing.Number 5 in a series. There was also a previous series by Mason with six historic lighthouses (1926), and later there was a four-part series on East Coast occupations (1947). (Other artists also produced similar series for the LNER.) Mason worked for the LNER from its formation in 1923 until 1947, when all individual lines were nationalized and combined into British Railways.
