His services were in great demand by shipping lines and the British railroads, as well as by engineering and shipbuilding firms. Here, he gives his interpretation of a 17th century naval engagement; we doubt that the ships of that era carried quite such an array of flags and pennants in assorted vivid colors, but it certainly makes a spectacular poster.
