Bal Negre
Man and woman dance together. It had been more than a year since the Revue Negre started a ""Black Craze"" in Paris. American Negro art, music and dress, as perceived by the Parisians, were tremendously popular...And as if one night was meant to crown or synthesize all this, the Bal Negre was held on February 11, 1927. It was organized entirely by Paul Colin, by now so entirely identified with his craze...The poster is quite sensational and, in many ways, superior to the one for Revue Negre. For poster collectors today, it is the most prized - and most expensive - of all his posters.
