Symphony
by William H. Bradley
Historical Musical Exhibition
Man dressed in colonial attire. For an exhibition of old musical instruments and memorabillia in Boston, Bradley prepared a most unusual design, featuring a young herald and a gentleman in preposterously old-fashioned foppish attire, the two of them framed in an elaborate construction of columns and supports. Since the Chickering & Sons Piano firm is sponsering the event, the dandy is carrying a miniature piano on a tray. This decidedly off-beat poster was printed in several sizes, of which this three-sheet version is the largest and rarest.
