Chocolate Amatller/Luna
Brightly dressed man bears a tray of hot chocolate. With its commercial enterprise dating all the way back to 1800, Amatller was a company experienced in the practices of merchandising and promotion. In its 1914 poster competition, first prize went to this design showing a servant bringing in a tray of hot chocolate. Although his skin is Nubian black and his outfit Arabian Nights-by-way-of-Diaghilev, the company's publicity termed the bearer ""Indian."" In different versions of this rare poster, the costume is given various color treatments; this is the most spectacular.
