Siluety Starogo Parizha
A movie advertisment in Russia.Designs which had no personnel credit, only the text, ""Released by Sovkino,"" were foreign films imported into the Soviet Union during the silent era. Here it's a film titled ""Silhouettes of Old Paris."" These films were supplied with old titles in Russia so that the country of origin was not readily identified, and after the censors deemed them suitable for release (anywhere from one to five years later), sent out to the movie houses. Here, we can see much merry-making, masked balls-old Paris, all right-but who made the film remains a mystery.
