1907 ad for the elegant Golya department store in Hungary.Faragos early career as a textile designer is evident in this decoratively-patterned poster promoting mens and womens fashions at Budapests then-elegant Golya department store (golya is the Hungarian word for stork). Farago completed his painting and illustration studies in Paris before returning home around 1905. He specialized in costume design, working at theaters in Budapest and Vienna, and many of his paintings hang in the Hungarian National Gallery.
