A favorite of artists for its picturesque harbor on the Bay of Calais, the fishing village of Hardelot became an important base for the British during World War 1. After the war, with the help of the Chemin de Fer du Nord, the place took on yet another identity - a tourist destination known for its sandy beach, pine-clad dunes and links-style golfing. Cecchettos bright, schematic design shows the distances from London and Paris and divides the poster into quadrants that illustrate the areas attractions.
