Art Exhibits

This poster advertises a portfolio of ten lithographs of Lautrecs scenes of Paris brothels, and their exhibition at the salon of La Plume magazine. The same design, without the bottom text, serves as the portfolios cover (in black and white) and frontispiece (in color--olive green, blue and orange). The ladies occupation could no more be openly named than it could be depicted: They are simply called Elles, (Them), and their business indicated merely by a gentlemans hat on the bed.
