Kodak Camera Beach Holiday Poster
Don't waste youre vacation! We are urged, Take a Kodak. The wholesome, family - and outdoor-life-loving Kodak girl was born in England in 1910, and was soon gracing Kodak posters and ads around the world. Lelong was chosen to redesign and adapt her to continental Europe in 1923. In all these images, the Kodak girl stands in the foreground, full length and in profile, always wearing the blue-and-white-striped dress and holding a camera. She looks smilingly into a framed family picture which itself always includes people taking snapshots of gathering to look at them. Thus, little by little the camera established itself as omnipresent witness to and participant in lifes great moments.
