Beautiful art nouveau painting for the Automobile Club of France.For the third ACF expo to be held at the Grand Palais, the club chose a painter in the classic vein to give the event an aura of prestige. As expected, Rochegrosse provided a grandiose allegory that achieves the desired effect impressively. Most interestingly he uses an oversized gear wheel to create a Mucha-like halo behind the automotive queen and then reflects the image in the pattern of her gown. This is the larger version.
