Ice Skating
by Jules Cheret
Palais de Glace
1896 A lovely young skater in a red-and-yellow striped skirt. The skater in the red-and-yellow striped skirt is one of the loveliest of the several designs-always with a shadowy top-hatted male figure in the background-that Cheret created for the Paris ice-skating rink between 1893 and 1900. Although the size is identical to the Bourrier Francais format, this is, in fact, a separate printing and not part of that series.
