1929 Luxurious Spanish fur advertisementA Catalan furrier advertises his luxury goods with a striking design by this Czech artist active mostly in Paris. Cerny arrived in France in 1913, served in World War I, and eventually became naturalized in 1935. He was primarily a painter, earning numerous honors at various salons. In the late Twenties, he apparently lived for a time in Barcelona, producing several posters in a refined Art Deco style.
