Auto Racing
by Rene VincentPeugeot
1925 Peugeot CabrioletVincent virtually defined the snob appeal in automobile advertising, with his sleek cars, elegant women and all the trappings of good taste. He worked for a number of top magazines, from La Vie Parisienne to Saturday Evening Post, and created many posters for the Au Bon Marche department store. He adds some zip to this front view of the latest cabriolet in the Peugeot line with a pair of awe-struck, even somewhat fearful turbaned exotics. A simple concept, but a surefire eye-catcher.
