1932 Advertisement for CitroenThe electric blue of the sedan, along with the equally stunning gold of the lettering and insignia, make for an uncluttered, eye-catching design. De Valerio, a native of Lille, worked in Paris--principally the Devambez and Perceval agencies, whose clients apart from Citroen, included Air France and Chrysler. He also designed over 2,000 sheet-music covers for music publisher-producer Salabert.
